A wine from the Rioja wine region in Northern Spain. Crianza means that the wine has ripened for two years - for this one American oak barrels were used. The taste from the barrels is not too strong, which I like. It makes the wine nicely balanced with a little bitterness and slightly sweet fruit flavors.
Grape: 80% Temperanillo, 20% Garnacha
Name: Carta de Oro
Producer: Berberana
Origin: Rioja, Spain
Year: 2004
13% Vol.

Excellent start, Katja!
We can also try to record where the wine was bought, so that those who want to repeat the experience know where to go :)
good point. I'll add that for the first two posts. Maybe price as well, but I don't remember for these.
