This red wine from Valdepeñas is the cheapest Spanish red wine I could find at albert hein. Valdepeñas is a recognized wine region in the center of Spain, just South of Madrid. Apparently Valdepeñas is also another name for the Temperanillo grape, but the grape is not given on the bottle. The wine has a nice dark color. Taste is ok, nothing special but solid. Nice with (Spanish) olives. Strange: I couldn't find a year anywhere on the bottle. I guess it's from 2006 or 2007.
